There is no doubt that an intact vision, hearing, smell, and touch are vital to good medical practice and vision is the most important. We must "see" the patient's problem and describe what we see. One way of promoting observational skills in patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment is through sketching or drawing what we see. It aids us to remember and understand the pathology.
