With interest, we read the article by Hajar [1] “Rheumatic Fever and Rheumatic Heart Disease: A†Historical Perspective.'' We want to correct the mistake associated with the prevalence of rheumatic heart disease in this article.

There was a mistake in Table†2†called “Summary of the American Heart Association revised 2015 Jones criteria.” The statement “Low-risk population: Acute rheumatic fever†(ARF) incidence†≤2/100,000 school-aged children of all age rheumatic heart disease†(RHD) prevalence of†≤1/100,000 population year” was incorrect. This statement should be corrected as follows†-†”Low-risk population: ARF incidence ≤2/100,000 school-aged children of all-age RHD prevalence of ≤1/1000 population per year.”[2]{Table†2}
